The Shades of Aura series explores the world of Biome and the people who can manipulate the Aura of others. Five Auras can be manipulated and they include Vigor, Perception, Mentality, Luck, and Empathy. A person can only manipulate one of the five Auras, each able to cause unique and wild changes to people and the surrounding world.

The book follows Yaron Meek's point of view and his search for what Aura he can manipulate. Mystical partner beasts, mental health themes, found family, wars in between Auras, betrayal, and corrupt history include some of the highlights of the series.

The Walls of Toterrum - Book 1
Yaron Meek has been confined to the walls of his home city, Toterrum, his entire life. Terror, oppression, and a tiered society drive him and his friends to obey while feeding into Yaron’s growing anxiety about himself and his world. On his eighteenth birthday, Yaron notices a mist above his mother’s head, launching him into dramatic change and freedom from the walls.
The mist is Aura and Yaron can control it. He soon learns from a Perceptionist named Aurora that there are five Auras—Vigor, Perception, Mentality, Luck, and Empathy. After escaping Toterrum, Yaron travels with Aurora and another friend to Flaunte, Perception’s capital, to learn what Aura he can manipulate.
Corrupt history, partner beasts, exotic landscapes, betrayal, budding romance, developing mental health, and war all follow Yaron as he begins his adventure in the world of Biome.
Will Yaron figure out his Aura? Will this newfound power turn into something malicious? Will escaping Toterrum help him escape his inner demons?
The Calamities of Toterrum - Book 2
Following the aftermath of Flaunte and the ambush outside of the Blackstone Mountains, Yaron Meek finds safety within Labyrintha, the capital of the Mentality Aura. However, an internal darkness begins to consume his humanity. The Soothsayer, a strong Mentalist, aids Yaron in navigating his new head space while learning about the Mentality Aura. Shifts in other relationships, new friendships, and a strengthening bond with Ricochet flourish.​
War with the Officers continues to threaten Labyrintha and our heroes. How long until the Officers break past the Blackstone Mountains? Will disaster strike again?
​And in the distance, a golden city lost in time beckons our group. Has the Luck Aura finally been found? What does that mean for Yaron and the calamity Toterrum continues to inflict on Biome?
